The traders at the popular Odo Ogbe Market also known as Oja tuntun in the ancient town of Ile-Ife Osun State are already counting their loses, as fire from unknown source razed down a segment of the Market.
The fire incidence which started around 10pm on December 1st, 2020 went on till 2:00am the following day (Dec 2nd), affected the segment of the market with many textile traders who sadly have just restocked for the yuletide season. This is indeed a massive loss not only to the market traders but also the entire people of Ife Town.

Cases of fire outbreak is often on high side in Nigeria during Harmattan season and it is becoming a yearly ugly occurrence especially across our markets in Nigeria.
As we sympathise with the traders, we urge our people to be more vigilant just as we call on well meaning stakeholders, especially Governments at all levels, and NEMA to come to the aid of these people.
